Air Bags Recall
Here is a brief report on problems, number of models effected, recall date as well as the solution for the problems.
2003 Toyota Camry models that suffered from air bag problems were recalled on 13th July, 2004. This problem occurred on certain vehicles equipped with curtain shield air bags. One or both air bags may be twisted near the inflator due to improper assembly.
If this happens, the curtain shield air bags may not position quickly when stimulated in a side impact collision. This may even result in breakdown of the intended head protection there by increasing the risk of damage.

Solution
The authorized dealers were instructed to inspect the curtain shield air bags and replace the airbag assembly if required. Altogether 128316 potential units were affected.
